A beautiful old wooden house, fully traditional furnished, situated in the heart of nature but just 4 km from the Maramures's second town- Sighetu Marmatiei, 20 km from the UNESCO protected wooden churches and just 6 km from the Ukrainian border. The house has 100 years old, is made by oak and covered with 7000 wooden shingles made by hand. It has 3 bedrooms (one for us-downstairs, two for guests-upstairs), 2 bathrooms (one for guests and one for us), a lounge and a terrace.
Around the house,on the property, you can see deer, wild rabbits, foxes,a lot of singing birds,thousands colourful butterflies, wild orchids and so on...
Our land has 7000 sqm, with wild and fruit trees and a small garden.
In the morning you can be awake by the sound of horse-drawn wagons. The farmers around still use hand-made tools and traditional technical instillations. You can see them and the local artisans at work, listen their music, dance with them, wear the beautiful traditional costumes, visit the unforgettable livestock markets, drink local plum brandy and eat traditionally...Then, don't miss the UNESCO protected wooden churches, the wooden houses and gates, the Merry Cemetery, the nature and the wolves, bears and lynx.
